*The Images Gold Card gives you unlimited use of Images Fitness Suite at Robinson Pool and Oasis Beach Pool, and the gyms at Bunyan Sports Centre and Bedford International Athletic Stadium.

No 12-month Contract!

Want to get fit without the burden of a year- long commitment? Not in town for long?  Not a problem. At Images, our priority is to help you achieve your goals in your own time. That’s why there is no 12-month contract when you join and pay by direct debit.  There is a minimum three month contract, then 30 days written notice to cancel required. Simply sign up, and, if you wish to cancel your membership at any time, just provide one months written notice to the Leisure Card office at PO BOX 348, Bedford, MK41 9ZX.

All classes are inclusive of membership – off peak = weekday morning classes only.

PAY AS YOU GO OPTION

It is also possible to use Images Fitness Suite on a casual, pay as you go basis. Please be aware that these sessions do not include induction; therefore if you are unfamiliar with our equipment or have not used a gym before, we ask that you book a personal training session first, in order that you are equipped to use the gym safely.

ADMIN FEE

When you join Images Fitness Suite, you also pay an administration fee of £25 if you pay by direct debit. This will only be payable for the first year of membership, and not when you subsequently renew.

HOW TO APPLY

Joining couldn’t be easier! To apply for membership, simply call into Images, pick up a form, fill it in and return it to us with two passport sized photographs and payment. If you wish to pay by direct debit, please have your bank details available.

To make life easier, the whole process can be done at Robinson, as we can take the photographs here, at a cost of £1.50.

EQUIPMENT

To go with our new image, we have a full range of brand new, state of the art fitness equipment. Images Fitness Suite offers both cardiovascular and body conditioning equipment, as well as an area for stretching. Our gym is fully air- conditioned.

The main cardiovascular area includes the latest machines, provided by market leader TechnoGym, all with fully incorporated touchscreen entertainment system. By using these machines you can work all the major muscle groups and burn off any excess weight, while listening your favourite tracks or catching up on the soaps!

Our extensive range of body conditioning equipment gives you the opportunity to tone up and hone muscle groups, in a fully supervised and safe environment, which overlooks both our impressive pool and the beautiful Bedford Park.

• Fitness Testing

Our state of the art computerised fitness testing system will provide you with your current fitness levels and lifestyle habits. You will be presented with a full report to keep as a starting point, and to use as part of an ongoing process to monitor your success.

• Personalised Programme

Once inducted, you will be provided with a full, personalised fitness programme tailored specifically to meet your needs and targets. Your instructor will then take you through it, step by step, ensuring you are fully satisfied and ready to start meeting those goals! And, as you progress, we can adapt and vary your program to keep you motivated and interested, introducing new training methods to keep you focused.

• Childcare Facilities

To make life easier, those of you wishing to combine your fitness regime and childcare needs are fully catered for here at Robinson. Conveniently situated next door to the gym, our fully staffed, recently refurbished crèche offers special sessions to gym members, allowing you the peace of mind to enjoy your workout while your children are cared for in a stimulating environment.

• Member Discounts

Your Images membership card can be used to gain discounts across DSD leisure sites. Here at Robinson Pool, your membership entitles you to free use of the pool during public sessions, discounts on swimwear, lessons, and our excellent range of fitness classes.

PERSONAL TRAINING

We are pleased to announce the introduction of Personal Training sessions here at Images. A motivational session with your favourite instructor is a great way to give yourself the extra motivation needed to reach your fitness goals, introduce variations to your programme, and help you to push past a plateau in your training.

For £20 a session you can come and benefit from the undivided attention of one of our dedicated instructors. The price stated is per session.

Motivational Sessions are bookable through the instructor of your choice and must be paid for at reception.

GP REFERRAL

For those of you seeking rehabilitation through exercise following injury, or for other medical reasons, Images can offer the GP referral scheme.

Upon receipt of a letter from your GP citing why exercise may be of benefit to you, we can sign you up to use our gym for 10 weeks, at a cost of £2.50 a session. If after this period you wish to continue your remedial exercise programme, and can provide supporting documentation from your GP, we can offer you a further option of full membership at a reduced rate.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

(DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENTS)

1. The person to whom it is issued may only use the Leisure Card.  It is not transferable.

2. The card must be produced on each visit otherwise a full charge will be payable.

3. If the card is lost, stolen or damaged you must notify the Leisure Card Office immediately.  A £3.00 replacement fee will be charged to cover administration.

4. The usage of the card will be subject to each facility’s individual programme.

5. The Council reserves the right to amend the facility’s programme.
6. Leisure Cards can be upgraded by supplying one month’s written notice to the Leisure Card Office.
7. If the card holder changes his/her name then a new card will issued free of charge upon receipt of relevant supporting documentation e.g. marriage certificate.
8. Special Sessions are not included in the cost of your membership, however, the Leisure Card discount entitlements do apply.
9. When applying for a concession, applicants must produce the original copy of their personal documents.  When applying by post the council accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of original documents.
10. Dishonestly giving incorrect or misleading information or misusing the Leisure Card will result in the cancellation of the Card and may lead to legal proceedings.
11. Memberships will only be suspended on proven medical grounds. In this case the Leisure Card holder can freeze their membership for a period not less than one month and no longer than six months, giving one month’s written notice.

12. One months’ written notice is required to the Leisure Card Office if you wish to cancel your membership.

13. It is the responsibility of the member to ensure that such letters reach the Leisure Card Office.

14. No refunds will be made due to cancellation, lack of use or for any other reason.

15. A £25 administration fee is payable upon joining. If you cancel and wish to re-join at a later date you will be required to pay the £25 administration fee again.

16. Monthly payments will commence on the 1^st day of each month.

17. The Council reserve the right to refuse payment by direct debit if persistent problems are experienced in obtaining payment by this means.
18. The Council reserve the right to refuse issue or withdraw a Leisure Card and cease to provide the benefits under it, to any person who contravenes these terms and conditions or the rules and regulations of the leisure facilities.

19. Any change of address or bank details must be notified to the Leisure Card Office immediately at PO BOX 348, Bedford, MK41 9ZX.

20. Annual price increases will be effective as of the 1^st January each year.

21. The Council reserves the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions at any time.

GYM, GYM+, SWIM & SQUASH CARD

(CASH/UPFRONT PAYMENT)

1. The person to whom it is issued may only use the Leisure Card. It is not transferable.

2. The Card must be produced on each visit otherwise a full charge will be payable.

3. If the Card is lost, stolen or damaged you must notify the Leisure Card Office immediately. A £3.00 replacement fee will be charge to cover administration.

4. No refunds will be made due to cancellation, lack of use or for any other reason.

5. The usage of the Card is subject to each facilities individual programme.

6. The Council reserves the right to amend the facilities programme.

7. You will be advised in writing when your card is due for renewal

8. Leisure cards can be upgraded. The proportionate remaining amount from the existing membership will be deducted from the cost of the new card.
9. Any change of address must be notified as soon as possible to the Leisure Card office, PO Box 348, Bedford, MK41 9ZX
10. If the cardholder changes his/her name then a new card will be issued free of charge upon receipt of relevant supporting documentation. E.g. marriage certificate
11. Special Sessions are not included in the cost of your membership, however, the Leisure Card discount entitlements will apply.

13. When applying for a concession, applicants must produce original of their personal documents. When applying by post the council accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of original documents.
