ADMISSION POLICY

In a designated non-swimmer area it may be possible for one responsible person (over 18) to safeguard up to three children aged five to eight or two children under the age of five, who are either swimmers or who are non-swimmers wearing arm bands or other suitable buoyancy aids. Customers are advised to only use swimming aids that are kite marked or carry a BS EN number. Armbands are available for sale at our facility.

Please be aware of the following:

  • A 50p coin is required for the coin return lockers.

  • During busy periods a call-out system will be in operation. You will get a minimum of 1 hour in the pool. A coloured wristband will be issued for a refundable deposit of 20p.

  • Adult is 18 years and over.

  • Junior is 5-17 years.

  • In the interest of customer safety a detailed admissions policy is in operation. Please look for signage and leaflets on site. Telephone queries are welcome.

  • Certain restrictions apply to the diving area, please ask at reception for details.

  • Be aware that there is no such thing as a non- slip floor. Any surface that is wet will be more slippery than a surface that is dry. Do not run and take special care when using the areas around the pool.

  • Owing to the nature of many modern costume fabrics, the management cannot accept responsibility for damage to costumes resulting from use of the pool.

HYGIENE POLICY

  • Please use the pre – swim showers before bathing.

  • Please use the toilet before entering the pool, and encourage children to do so.

  • Please wear suitable clean swimwear.

  • Children still requiring nappies are encouraged to wear a recognised swim nappy, available from Reception.

  • Conventional nappies are not permitted in the pool.

  • Outdoor shoes are not permitted on poolside. (Please pay particular attention to this if you are registering your child onto our swimming lesson programme)

  • Bathers who have had sickness and/or diarrhoea should avoid swimming for at least two weeks.

  • Any incident involving contamination of the pool must be reported to staff immediately.
